Why design and build together

A plan drawn by one company and built by another often loses something in between: the drip zones get simplified, a boulder gets moved, a tree goes in where the plan said shrub. When Rio Rancho Landscape Design Co. builds what it drew, the person who planned the irrigation is the one checking it in the trench. You also get one price and one point of contact.

What we do and what we do not

We do: landscape design plans, xeriscape and lawn conversions, drip irrigation and smart controllers, flagstone and paver patios, walkways, seat walls, boulders and dry creek beds, and low-voltage landscape lighting.

We do not: pools, retaining walls taller than a seat wall, structural engineering, tree removal on large trees, or weekly mowing and maintenance routes. When a job needs one of those, we say so and point you to the right trade.

How we work

  • Every plan is drawn to scale, with a plant list and a written price for building it.
  • Plants are grouped by water need, and drip zones follow those groups.
  • We call New Mexico 811 before trenching and probe by hand around sprinkler lines.
  • If a Rio Rancho rebate applies, we tell you before work starts, so the pre-approval visit happens in time.
  • We leave a written first-year watering schedule for each zone.
